Broadbeach, Gold Coast
Broadbeach residents looking for a hair transplant clinic do not need to travel far. Our private clinic in Bundall is approximately ten minutes from central Broadbeach, and we offer doctor-led FUE hair transplantation performed by AHPRA-registered medical practitioners in a purpose-equipped facility with on-site parking.
Choosing to address hair loss is a personal decision, and finding the right clinic can feel daunting. There is a wide spectrum of providers in Australia, and the differences between them — who actually performs the procedure, what technology is used, how transparent the pricing is — are not always obvious from a website alone. This page is designed to give you a clear, straightforward understanding of what we do and how we do it, so you can decide whether our clinic is the right fit for your needs.
Broadbeach is one of the Gold Coast’s most established coastal suburbs, known for its dining, lifestyle and proximity to the convention centre and Pacific Fair. Our clinic in Bundall is just up the road — ten minutes north via the Gold Coast Highway through Mermaid Beach, or a similar distance via Hooker Boulevard and Bundall Rd if you prefer an inland route.
Convenience matters when you are committing to a medical procedure that involves a consultation visit, a full-day procedure and at least one follow-up appointment. Having your clinic nearby reduces the logistical burden at every stage. But what matters most is the quality of care you receive once you walk through the door.
At our clinic, the doctor is not a figurehead who signs off on a plan and disappears. Dr Alexander Brooks and Dr Ranadi Vincent are AHPRA-registered doctors who personally extract every graft from your donor area and personally place every graft into the recipient zone. This level of direct physician involvement throughout the entire procedure is not something every clinic offers, and it is worth asking about when you are comparing options.
We also invest in diagnostic technology that goes beyond the visual assessment most clinics rely on. TrichoLAB is a 3D imaging platform that maps your scalp in detail — measuring follicle density, hair diameter and the distribution of single, double and multi-hair follicular units across your donor area. This data allows your doctor to build a precise surgical plan rather than working from estimates, and it gives you a clear, measurable basis for understanding the treatment being recommended.
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is the technique we use exclusively at our clinic. It represents a significant advancement over the older strip-harvesting method (FUT) and has become the preferred approach for both patients and doctors worldwide.
The principle is straightforward. Individual follicular units — naturally occurring groups of one to four hairs — are extracted one at a time from the donor area using a precision micro-punch instrument. The follicular units are then prepared and placed into tiny recipient sites created in the areas of thinning or baldness.
Your doctor controls the angle, direction and spacing of each recipient site to match the natural growth pattern of your existing hair. This attention to detail is what produces a result that looks natural: hair that grows in the direction you would expect, at an angle that matches the surrounding hair, at a density that avoids the artificial “pluggy” look associated with older transplant techniques.
Because FUE extracts individual follicular units rather than removing a strip of tissue, there is no linear scar, no stitches and a shorter recovery period compared to FUT. Most patients are comfortable returning to everyday activities within a few days, and the tiny extraction sites in the donor area heal to become nearly invisible within a couple of weeks.
Before any procedure can take place, you need a face-to-face consultation with one of our doctors at our Bundall clinic. This is a regulatory requirement under AHPRA guidelines, and it is also a clinical necessity. A hair transplant is a medical procedure, and it needs to be planned on the basis of a proper medical assessment — not a phone call, not a photo sent by email and not an online quiz.
The consultation typically takes around forty-five minutes to an hour. Your doctor will examine your scalp, evaluate the quality of your donor hair, discuss your hair loss history and your goals, and carry out a TrichoLAB scan. You will leave with a clear understanding of whether a transplant is suitable, how many grafts would be recommended, which areas can be treated and what the realistic outcome would look like.
If a transplant is not appropriate for you — perhaps because your hair loss is still progressing rapidly, your donor area is insufficient, or because non-surgical management would be a better first step — your doctor will say so plainly. We do not pressure patients into procedures. You can learn more about what to expect on our Your Journey page.
Not every patient who walks through our door needs a hair transplant, and not every patient who would benefit from one is ready for it right now. That is why we offer non-surgical hair loss treatments alongside our surgical services.
Medical management using evidence-based prescription medications can be effective in slowing, stabilising or even partially reversing pattern hair loss. These medications work by addressing the hormonal pathway that causes susceptible hair follicles to shrink over time. For patients whose hair loss is in its early stages, medical management may be all that is needed.
We also offer platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, which involves concentrating growth factors from your own blood and injecting them into the scalp. PRP is used to support follicle health and can be administered either as a standalone treatment or alongside a transplant procedure. Your doctor will discuss whether non-surgical options are appropriate for you during your consultation.
Hair loss does not discriminate by gender, and neither does our clinic. We treat both men and women experiencing all forms of hair thinning and loss. The clinical approach for each patient is tailored to their individual pattern, cause and goals.
In men, the most common pattern involves a receding hairline and thinning at the crown, typically driven by genetic sensitivity to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). In women, hair loss more often presents as diffuse thinning across the top of the scalp without a dramatically receding hairline, and the underlying causes can be more varied — hormonal changes, medical conditions, nutritional factors or a combination.
Whatever your situation, the starting point is the same: a thorough assessment, honest advice and a treatment recommendation that genuinely serves your interests. Our Women’s Hair Restoration page has more detail on our approach for female patients.
From central Broadbeach, our clinic is approximately ten minutes by car. The most straightforward route follows the Gold Coast Highway north through Mermaid Beach and into Bundall, turning left onto Ashmore Rd. Alternatively, you can head inland via Hooker Boulevard to Bundall Rd, which connects to Ashmore Rd near the clinic.
We have private on-site parking at 86 Ashmore Rd, so there is no need to worry about metered parking or multi-storey car parks. The clinic is in a quiet, professional precinct — a calm environment that is very different from the busy retail and hospitality strips in Broadbeach itself.
For patients who prefer not to drive, the G:link light rail runs through Broadbeach and connects to the broader Gold Coast transit network. The closest tram stop to our clinic is a short rideshare from there. However, most patients find that driving is the simplest option, particularly on procedure day when you will want to arrive and leave at your own pace.
If you are planning to stay in Broadbeach during your recovery, the area has a wide variety of accommodation — from beachside apartments to quieter options set back from the main strip. The gentle pace of early recovery pairs well with the relaxed Broadbeach lifestyle: a short walk along the beach, a quiet coffee, some fresh air. Just be sure to follow your aftercare instructions regarding sun exposure and physical activity in the first couple of weeks.
Our Bundall clinic is approximately ten minutes by car from Broadbeach. The most direct route follows the Gold Coast Highway north through Mermaid Beach before turning onto Bundall Rd, or you can take Hooker Boulevard inland. Free on-site parking is available.
Our AHPRA-registered doctors — Dr Alexander Brooks and Dr Ranadi Vincent — personally perform every extraction and graft placement. The clinical team assists with preparation, but the surgical elements remain in the hands of a registered doctor throughout.
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) removes individual hair follicles through tiny circular punches rather than cutting a strip of scalp. There is no linear incision, no stitches and no strip scar. Recovery is typically faster, and the small extraction sites heal to become virtually invisible.
Broadbeach has excellent accommodation options — hotels, serviced apartments and short-stay rentals — all within ten minutes of our clinic. The area is ideal for a quiet, comfortable recovery in the first few days after your procedure.
Yes. We welcome both male and female patients. The assessment process is the same: a thorough examination, diagnostic imaging and an honest discussion about the most appropriate treatment options for your individual pattern of hair loss.
